Church, as we prepare to give, let us remember that generosity has always been part of God’s shaping of His people. In the Old Testament, the Lord told Israel, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house” (Malachi 3:10). Giving was never just about resources — it was about resourcing God’s mission among God’s people.

And in the New Testament, Paul echoes that same heartbeat when he writes, “And God is able to bless you abundantly… so that you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Our giving fuels the “good work” God has entrusted to His church — the work of discipling, serving, reaching, and restoring.

So today, when you give, you're not simply supporting a budget. You're stepping into the ongoing mission of believers — a mission that began in Scripture and continues through us. You're generosity becomes ministry. It becomes compassion. It becomes the gospel made visible in our city.
